- What is an Android TV Box? – An Android TV box is essentially a mini PC running an Android operating system. It is not a Cable box or descrambler so there no any channels, boxes comes pre-installed with many Android apps including XBMC KODI with installed addons that let you watch streams shared by other users.
- What is Kodi (XBMC)? - Kodi Entertainment Center (formerly XBMC) is a free and open-source media player software developed by the XBMC Foundation, a non-profit technology consortium. Kodi is available for multiple operating systems and hardware platforms, with a software 10-foot user interface for use with televisions and remote controls. It allows users to play and view most videos, music, such as podcasts from the internet, and all common digital media files from local and network storage media.
- What content can I stream from Kodi (XBMC)? - There are a multitude of third-party add-ons available on the XBMC platform enabling you to stream Free Movies and TV shows as well as watch live TV streams.
- Do you guarantee the quality of the streams? - No. We can not guarantee the quality, durability, longevity or integrity of individual streams. These streams originate from 3rd party developers and are completely out of our control or influence. The vast majority of streams are good to great quality, many are HD quality. If a stream is not working or of a poor quality, there are many many more available, its just a matter of clicking on them.
- My Box doesn't turn on? – Make sure the power plug is pushed into the device all the way and the other end is plugged into a wall unit that has power.
- Box is turned on but I can’t see anything on my TV? – Make sure that the HDMI cable is plugged in all the way for both the device and your TV. Make sure your TV is on the correct source for the HDMI input that the Device is plugged into.
- The display on my screen is too big or too small. – Click Setting > Click Display > Click Display Position. Adjust until the screen fits your TV and then click back.
- How to set up WiFi or my wifi isn't working. – Click Setting > Click Network > Click Wifi > check Wifi field > Find and Chose your network > Enter Password (Make sure the password is correct, Click symbols to add any symbols that may be in your password) > check Show Password field to be sure that you correctly entered password > Click Connect Button and wait until you will see Wi-Fi connected Notice along AP Name and IP Address so it means that you are now connected successfully to your network (to be sure please go to Starting page and start Web Browser to check that it loading Google webpage).
- My box is connected to internet but getting errors when trying to play any streams or use any Add-Ons - your device could not be connect to the internet or check your Router that Firewall is turned off.
- My videos buffer a lot. – Check your internet speed with application Speedtest that you will find in My Apps. We recommend a stable internet speed of 10 MBPS or more for the best internet experience. The faster internet connection you have the faster your TV Show, Sports and Movies will load. If you have under 10Mbps you should consider upgrading your internet speed. Remember, each Add-ons is separately managed by a Third Party that is not affiliated with CrispConcept.com. There will be times when these Add-Ons do not operate as they should and you may experience down time or slow rates which could cause buffering. When this does happen, we suggest looking at a new source or Add-On to correct the problem.
- How to enable Live TV on XBMC/KODI? – Please follow the instruction listed here.
- I lost all my XBMC/KODI addons ? – To restore or update addons please follow the instruction listed here.
- How to do I hook up my USB wireless keyboard and or mouse to my box? – Simply plug in the USB dongle that comes with your wireless USB keyboard or mouse (look in the back of the keyboard) into one of the USB ports on the box. You do not need to reboot your Box; your USB device should begin working once you have plugged in your USB device.
- My Device is running slow, how can I fix this? – Sometimes the Cache in XBMC gets full. This can slow down the performance of XBMC and cause buffering issues. You can fix this by following the instructions listed here. Remember, each Add-Ons is separately managed by a Third Party that is not affiliated with CrispConcept.com. There will be times when these Add-Ons do not operate as they should and you may experience down time or slow rates which could cause buffering. When this does happen, we will start looking at updating the with a new sources or Add-On to correct the problem.
- I clicked on a stream source to watch a movie or TV show and I got a pop up that says “File not found” "unable to play video" “Source is unavailable” – Some stream sources are listed but do not work. This is not typical but it does happen in XBMC sometimes. Simply try another stream source and most likely it will work. If not simply try stream sources until one works. Remember, each Add-Ons is separately managed by a Third Party that is not affiliated with me. There will be times when these Add-Ons do not operate as they should and you may experience down time or slow rates which could cause buffering. When this does happen, we suggest looking at a new source or Add-On to correct the problem.
- When I try to find a TV Show, HD Movie or live sports stream I get an error that says “Network not available” “Script Error” – While most of the XBMC Add-ons are extremely stable and consistent in deliver streaming media to your Box, sometimes things happen and certain XBMC add-ons have issues. Sometimes certain XBMC add-ons are effected by server issues, internet issues or user overload. This is completely out of our control and we can only fix the add-ons if there is a fix online. If your getting script error on everything you try then your device could not be connect to the internet.
- How do I add more favorites to XBMC/KODI and access my favorites while using XBMC/KODI? – When you find a TV series or HD movie that you want to save as a favorite you need to click C on your USB wireless keyboard or Menu button on your stock controller. This will bring up the menu and you will be able to click on “Save as a Favorite.” To access your favorites you will need to click on the star icon at the bottom left side of the XBMC home screen. Simply click on the star icon and a menu will slide out from the right side of the screen. Scroll over to that menu and choose the favorite you wish to view.
- How to adjusting Display size on my TV? - Click settings > display > display position > press LEFT/UP/RIGHT/DOWN buttons to adjust the display to your TV > click back and then yes.
- How to adjusting Date & Time? - Click settings > click date & time > click automatic date & time, now select your time zone.
- How to customizing my XBMC/KODI Homepage (Shortcuts) - In XBMC scroll over to system on the right > settings > appearance > on the skin tab click settings to the right > click on add on short cuts. There will be different areas to add different types of shortcuts (Video, Music, Programs). Click on 1-5 and choose the add-ons you wish to have as a short cut on your XBMC/KODI homepage.
- How to do Factory Reset? - You can do a factory reset on your device to bring your device back to the same way you first got your unit. From Main Screen go to Settings > Other > More Settings > Backup & reset - factory data reset - now confirm you want to do a Reset mbx. Your device will now reboot, it can take up to 10 minuets to get all your apps back after a reset. Leave your device on and all apps will appear. Next step is to restore all data for XBMC/KODI to do so please follow the instruction listed here.
- How to uninstall App? - From Main Screen go to Settings > Other > More Settings > Apps then chose app that you want uninstall, click on it and then click on uninstall button.
